I feel it a great honour to be your tour guide today. First, on behalf of my company, I warmly welcome all my distinguished guests from Australia to Shanghai and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower.
Located on the Huangpu River, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower is now the symbol of the city. Built in 1994 and opened to the public in 1995, it is now the highest building in Shanghai and the third highest in Asia. The Tower has a quite unique structure and consists of 3 large and 5 small balls. Inside the balls, you can have a bird's eye view of the city.
Our schedule for the trip to the TV Tower is as follows： you have an hour form 9：30-10：30am to experience the history of Shanghai on the first floor. Then we'll assemble in the middle of the hall at 10：30 and have another hour to overlook the beautiful city sceneries in the middle ball. Finally please do remember to go to the top ball at 11：30 to enjoy your lunch.

Go Outing
Last weekend we went to the countryside to have a picnic。 We bought some cakes with us for lunch。 We left quite early before there was too much traffic。 After aborn two bours we came to a nice place。 It was near a river， with some large trees beside it。 So we parked our bicycles under the trees and went for a swim。 It was a very hot day and the water was very refreshing。 After having a swim， we had lunch in the cool shade under the trees。 Then we went for a walk。
We saw some beautiful birds and butterflies。 After walking for about an hour we re turned to our bicycles and began to ride home。
We got home very late and terribly exhausted。 But we enjoyed it very much， for it was one of our most interesting weekend＇s outings。
出游
上周末我們去農村野餐，我們買了一些蛋糕帶上做午餐。我們很早就出發(fā)了，這時路上車輛不多。兩小時后我們來到了一個好地方，這地方靠近一條河，河邊有一些大樹。我們把自行車放在樹下就去游泳。那一天天氣炎熱，河水清爽宜人。游完泳我們在涼爽的樹蔭下吃午飯。吃完午飯就去散步。
我們看到一些美麗的鳥和蝴蝶。大約散了一個小時的步之后，我們回到停放自行車的地方騎車回家。
回到家中已經(jīng)很晚了，也累壞了，但是，我們都很喜歡這次出游，因為這是我們最有意思的一次周末出游。

In this sense, tourism should hold a position in the scope and ought to be treated as such.

Tourism, in terms of its objective purposes, has a social function which contributes to human communication. Coming from vadous social backgrounds, having motives and goals of every kind, tourists get together, draw close and exchange ideas of their own, from which a fresh state of mind will be created. So what kind of production is it? To the question we should have good reason to give a proper answer: it is a spirit production, a reproduction of relations of production. And the more frequently such exchanges are made, the more good they will do to promoting social and economic development of the mutual. If it is the case that making money through tourism means a dent we have made, so it foretells a fortune to provide cultural service along with tourism. Therefore, to keep close eyes on the latter involves changing our minds first, that is, tourism is by no means a pure economic concept, but takes plenty of ideological activities as its content.
To sum up, unlike other economic forms, the profits from tourism economy cannot be measured completely by means of how much output value, profit, and foreign exchange it will produce. In addition to the reputation of pollution-free industry, its social and far-reaching profit should be probed more deeply. As such the existing scenic spots ought to be kept in good maintenance, and some new ones exploited. Moreover, constructing first-class soft and hard surroundings is desired to attract tourists, the foreign and the domestic。
